CONNECTICUT LYRIC OPERA PRODUCTION OF MOZART’S “DON GIOVANNI” COMES TO MIDDLETOWN JUNE 4

Mozart's Don Giovanni PosterThe Greater Middletown Concert Association will bring Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” opera whiich will be staged by the Connecticut Lyric Opera in collaboration with Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. The date is Sunday, June 4, at 4:00 p.m. and the location is Middletown‘s Santo Fragilio Performing Arts Center, 200 LaRosa Lane. The misadventures of the original Don Juan are featured in “Don Giovanni”, which is considered to be one of the greatest opera works in the classic repertoire. The gripping production will be under the music direction of Maestro Adrian Sylveen and the stage direction of Giorgio Lalow.

This professional production features singers who have been seen at The Met, European opera houses, and beyond. In the opera Don Giovanni is charming with a scandalous reputation. His already-lengthy list of conquests is getting longer until he tries to force an unsuspecting Donna Anna. Will he blaze a path to his own destruction in a single day? The opera features Mozart's stunning lyricism, genius recitatives and unforgettable arias, all accompanied by a seasoned orchestra. In addition the opera will be performed in Italian with English supertitles.
